Hello All!
I know, I know, I have been silent the past month. You can be sure that I have been VERY busy though.
Meanwhile, we are flying for the news more. Record breaking heat, structure fires, shootings and car accidents have been keeping us busy! I have had a ride along this week… Flat Stanley. My Godson, Keinan, sent me a paper doll named (you guessed it) Flat Stanley. Anybody heard of this? Apparently there is a popular elementary school assignment where Flat Stanley is mailed to a recipient and that person is requested to show Stanley around their town. Once pictures and souvenirs are in place, they are sent back with Flat Stanley accompanied by a letter chronicling his adventures. I was asked to take Flat Stanley for a helicopter ride. Here we are flying over Los Angeles in 100 degree heat.
Lucky for us, we received an assignment that took us to the Santa Monica Pier. It was much cooler there!
Flat Stanley saw Disneyland, Universal Studios, the Los Angeles Zoo, the Dodger Stadium, downtown Los Angeles and the Hollywood sign. Unfortunately, Stanley got to see a shooting homicide, two structure fires, and a nasty car accident as well. We will be leaving those details out of his return letter!
I am still working on the details of this website so there will be many changes soon. And am swiftly working on those geocaches so be sure to check back in May!
Clear skies!
